Simple Calabrian Green Beans.
A super delicious way to prepare fresh green beans; my Simple Calabrian Green Beans recipe is a perfect side dish to any upcoming Holiday fare but equally delicious as a vegetarian main when served over rice or pasta!
This is a six minute sauté in olive oil and a hot pepper garlic sauce; a splash of wine and water steam the beans to perfection! If the sauce is not accessible, you can just use chopped garlic and crushed red pepper flakes instead. Enjoy my Simple Calabrian Green Beans this Thanksgiving or with any meal and don’t forget to try it over pasta or rice all on it’s own!
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
3 lbs organic green beans, trimmed
1/4 cup Calabrian red pepper garlic sauce, DeLallo (alternatively use 2-3 teaspoons organic chopped garlic and 1/2-1 Tablespoon of crushed red pepper flakes)
Himalayan salt to taste
2-3 tablespoons water
2-3 tablespoons white wine
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil to medium high
Add the green beans and spices, sauté about 3 minutes
Add the water and wine, sauté another 3 minutes
Cover the pan and remove from heat
Let rest for a few minutes covered
Serve with protein of choice as a flavorful side dish
Or serve over pasta or rice as a vegetarian main
