Citrus Tandoori Chicken Wings
My Citrus Tandoori Chicken Wings is a delicious recipe to add to your summer menu of yummy yet healthy choices! My Citrus Tandoori Chicken Wings recipe is long on flavor; the free range wings are marinated in yogurt, lemon, lime and exotic, anti inflammatory tandoori masala spice blend! Grill, bake, broil or sauté the wings; I personally like to cook them tagine style! But no matter how you choose to cook my Citrus Tandoori Chicken Wings, the result is a crowd pleasing winner; make a lot, they go quickly! I like to serve these delicious Chicken Wings over basmati or jasmine rice with a sprinkling of organic cilantro! Chicken breasts or thighs also work well! Enjoy!
1-2 packages of free range chicken wings
1 cup Greek style yogurt
Juice of 1 lime
Juice of 1/2 lemon
2 tablespoons tandoori masala spice blend, Frontier
Generous sprinkling of Himalayan salt and pepper
Dredge of extra virgin olive oil
Place chicken wings on a large plate
Season generously with above spices
Add yogurt and citrus juices
Dredge with olive oil
Marinate wings for 2-3 hours, rotating th3m every hour
Remove them from marinade
Place them on a baking sheet, for oven
Plancha, for grill
Large sauté pan or Tagine, for stove top
(Note if cooking them with the stovetop method, brown the wings with onions and some chopped collard greens or similar at medium high then reduce temperature and simmer until wings are cooked through)
Serve with rice and cilantro
Or if grilling the wings, corn on the cob is a great side choice! Enjoy them, they are simply delicious! Vinho Verde, a slightly sparkling white wine from Portugal is a perfect pair!
